While it would be nice if they were to download and install
OpenOffice.org, it is not necessary. To send attachments, use
File > Send > Email as Microsoft Word. This should open you default email
client AND attach your document in the .doc format. Simply add the email
address, the Subject line, and any comments in the message section.
