I have a desktop computer operating with Windows XP. I have two problems > using Open Office. > > 1°--When I send an attachment written with my O.O 2.3 word processor, the > people who receive it cannot open it. Would downloading JAVA into their > computer solve this problem or would they have to download the whole Open > Office too? > You need to make sure that your document is sent in a format that your receiptants software can understand. If you send it to people that only have MS Office, then you need to put it into a .doc format, for instance.
The best idea however is to encourage them to download and install OOo for free. > > 2°--When I downloaded Open Office 2.3, I was offered an option (which I > took) to use Open Office to open Powerpoint and Excel documents.
