If you are concerned about the downloaded file from OpenOffice.org, go
back to the download page:
http://download.openoffice.org/2.3.1/index.html?focus=download. In small
print at the bottom of the "green box" is a link labeled: Please check the
md5sum. Click that link to instructions as to how to check your downloaded
file for any possible errors.
While the warning box is suppose to be a helpful thing, Microsoft has not
made the effort to create a database of all the recognized safe computer
programs and their developers. So, the warning may or may not be accurate.
Since Sun is involved with OpenOffice.org and there is an ongoing "feud"
between Sun and MS, it is not likely anything Sun produces will make this
list. (Personal opinion.)
