Yes Alan.... I can't recall that paying for something that you can get
free is ever better.
When I hear of a program that sounds like a good one, I goggle it and see if
it's ever free.... I can't see paying for anything that I can get for
nothing.

I purchased Open Office, simply, because I thought I would be able to open
Microsoft XL documents on my Mac ... at leaste, that's what I was led to
believe.
I'm not a programmer ... I'm a web site designer. I just want to be able
to open Excell documents on my Mac.
Did I make a mistake in purchasing Open Office?
Please help me out.
