Believe me, I was thinking about uninstalling both Norton and OOo.... but
I know that Norton is about impossible to get shed of..... so I didn't.
<grin>
Did that and came up clean. Still must be something that Norton doesn't
like. Maybe since I ran a scan on that one zip folder, it may pass through
a Full System Scan.... ya think?

Sure... uninstall Norton. Sorry, couldn't help myself :-)
Use the Windows manager (Windows Explorer?) and navigate to the
c:\Program Files\OpenOffice 2.3\share\
folder. Right click and run a virus scan on the folder and it's
subdirectories.
Then: c:\Program Files\OpenOffice 2.3\share\config\images_crystal.zip
right click and scan just that file.
What results do you get?
When in doubt, get a second opinion; do an online scan:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html
http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml
I've just scanned the c:\Program Files\OpenOffice 2.3\ and it's
subdirectories on my dualboot Windows drives using clamav (updated
database) and find no problems at all.
BTW: the images_crystal.zip file contains all of the icons etc., for the
crystal theme in OOo. There should be nothing in there that would trigger
a virus alarm.
Oh... and take the advise of others; consider looking at an alternate AV;
Norton may be good at detecting actual viruses etc., but it's overall
software & addins score a -10 in my book. To blow out Norton you may have
to use their 'special' uninstaller to do so.
Try something else - this might help:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=antivirus+comparison+tests&btnG=Search
When I do run windows, I use AVG, clamav, or bitdefender. Norton (even now
being offered for free by my DSL ISP) gets immediately removed on any
system that I service/touch.

I know this might not be completely on topic, but I have a problem with
OOo 2.3.1.
When my Norton does a full system scan, it gets hung up on the following
folder:
c:\Program Files\OpenOffice 2.3\share\config\images_crystal.zip
Any ideas why this occurs and how I can stop it??
