Hello,

I am using openoffice writer 2.0.2 on Linux. I have issues with formulas
that don't seem to fit in the box that is automatically generated for
the formula. Attached is an example. The most common items that cause
this size issue are large square brackets, exponentials in the
numerator, sometimes large integrals, etc... I am not able to select any
of the small green boxes around the formula box to re-size. How do I
make the box bigger? Any idea what I can do so fix this?

Thanks,

Sara
I can't anything in your example that is out of the boundaries. However I
was using winXP. Would it be possible to do a screen shot from your linux
installation and forward to see what is actually missing.

I am not sure what the problem is either. I am using the Linux version of OOo from the OOo web site. I do not see a box, so I can not say whether the formula is outside the box or not.

Hi Sara

I opened your file in OOo 2.3.1 on Linux, and the box displays entirely as I would expect although I cannot resize it. I Must admit I don't really use the Math component.

I suggest trying to upgrade as version 2.02 is now rather antique.
