Hello,

I am using openoffice writer 2.0.2 on Linux. I have issues with formulas that don't seem to fit in the box that is automatically generated for the formula. Attached is an example. The most common items that cause this size issue are large square brackets, exponentials in the numerator, sometimes large integrals, etc... I am not able to select any of the small green boxes around the formula box to re-size. How do I make the box bigger? Any idea what I can do so fix this?

Thanks,

Sara

Hi Sara

Your formula looks OK in my version of Openoffice. But to increase the box round the formula, double-click on it (to open the formula editing box), then click (on the menu bar) on Format - Spacing. In the dialog box that opens, select Category - Borders. Then increase whichever borders you wish to change.

Hope that solves the problem?

Andy
