No StarDraw 3.0/5.0 ".sdd" files can still be opened in the current version 2.3.1 version of OOo (OpenOffice.org). Are you using the "official" version of OOo, or the edition included with your (fc8 ?) distro? Are you seeing any error messages and if so, what do they say?
