Thank you Dave.  Followed your suggestion  - well almost :-)

Opening Tools I could see no Extension Manager but did see Packagas
Manager so clicked on Add and followed the instructions.  Will this be an
utter disaster, or have I done something correctly?

By the way, in case it is different in the two Oses, I am using LinuxMINT.
