The deb.

But have you a reason for not using aptitude? (Or apt-get? Or even
Synaptic?) Admittedly you get 2.0.4 (Etch) (or a later version in Lenny),
where the current version is 2.3.1 (2.3.x?), but I do not find that a serious
problem. If you do, use the deb. I do not seem to have any quirks here as
the people who use the Ubuntu version do - merely an older version.
