The draw component can be used for basic flow charting, but it is not actually equivalent to Visio.
I know people in a large business that used Visio , but actually are happier with the possibilities of Draw, for technical drawings, schemes, because of styles, layered stuff. It's not my personal expertise, but sometimes I have the impression that Draw is a little under estimated.
You know: I'll drop them a line and ask if they can explain what makes them feel so good about Draw.
This said: it may well be that the person that mailed the question, is better of with dia-installer. I just dunno.
