You do not say how (by what method) you have installed Open Office on gOS.

The word processor supplied with gOS is Google Docs. This is an on-line word
processor and can be accessed from any computer provided that you have a
compatible browser, since it is accessed by browser. I have never used it,
but it does not surprise me that it is apparently not identical to
OpenOffice.org. It would surprise me if it were identical.

You might be able to install OpenOffice.org, but there may be constraints
which make it difficult or impossible on this Distro, which is a derivative
of Ubuntu.

Alternatively, it would probably be possible to install another Linux Distro
instead, many of which have OpenOffice.org as standard. There might however
be hardware issues.

Or you could just give in gracefully and use Google Docs. This would be
usable from any of your computers, provided that you have them connected to
the Internet and have Firefox, Seamonkey or IE installed; and all your
documents would be stored on-line.

Much, if not most, of the software on gOS is Google not computer based.

I am sending this to you personally, as well as to the list, because you
appear not to be subscribed.
