I downloaded Open Office in an effort to be able to use Microsoft word,
pinpoint, etc. The download is complete but I don't know how to access the
programs.

You don't need OpenOffice to use MS Word but if you are a pinhead, you can
use pinpoint. MS products are sold at locations that collect large sums of
cash. OpenOffice is a FREE download. OpenOffice does not have any MS
programs in it. MS programs do not comply with the international open
document standard.

If you download OpenOffice and unpack it and install it and execute it, you
can create or open an ODF document by clicking on File and choosing an
option.
