We do it for various reasons too tedious to go into (most philosophical or philanthropic). Thus we do not have a supervisor as such, although if your topic is interesting enough and attracts attention of a busy employee you may get a response from a developer or marketer. If you wish a similar software suite with paid support, Sun release Star Office which is based upon OpenOffice.org with the addition of add-ons. Now as to the media player idea: OpenOffice.org is an office productivity suite: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_suite They generally do not include a media player as that would annoy the person in the next cubicle as well as the boss. So media players are normally a completely seperate program. OpenOffice.org does not make one as it devoted solely to the Office Suite called OpenOffice.org. Some individuals have suggested alternative media players based on their own experience and favouritisms. If you wish to pursue a Media Player further you may have more luck in a different forum, one devoted more to music appreciation.
