The program you were referring to probably uses programming features to manipulate the Microsoft products, e.g. mail merge product announcements, invoices, late payment notices, or anything along those lines. All those programming features would be designed to work specifically with the Microsoft products. So NO it is not likely that OpenOffice will work with .... Business Manager. You probably should ask the product's publisher if it works with OpenOffice anyway. I don't know the program and my presumptions above may be wrong. The product's vendors certainly could, and probably would if enough customers ask, add features to make it work with OpenOffice. Why don't you ask them to add that capability?
