I have downloaded 2.3.1 for the Mac and have spent a couple of hours
trying to figure out how to install/start it. i get an X11 window when
I try to open the app. I have done what was posted on one of the
websites in terms of X11 preferences, but nothing happens the way its
described except being able to set the input and output. I can't use
the application. Help.

I have several of those drives, but most people want to have a CD to
keep.
Also most people I deal with do not have a USB plug in front, and
with my
"injuries", it is difficult to place it in the "hidden" ports in the
back of the
computers. They always seem to take a contortionist to get to the back
of the boxes on the bottom shelves of the computer desks. That is one
reason for CDs
Sometimes I leave off some stuff so I can get your list included on
the CD.
I usually keep a few CDs with me and just hand them out.
I also use a CD-RW for the same purpose, but I don't hand them out. I
keep everything in one folder, so it's easy to copy, in one shot, to
the persons computer. I also use the portable app version, to
demonstrate OpenOffice to people, without installing it.
