I'm totally a novice to all of this. Here is the snapshot of my console. I don't understand how to interpret this. So help me with understanding what I need to do to make this work.

Thank you

I just downloaded openoffice 2.3.1 onto my PowerBook G4. Using OS X 10.4.11 I have X11 1.1.3 installed and operating since I use Gimp. I reviewed all your support pages to understand why OpenOffice will not start. I must be missing something. I checked video drivers and other items on the install docs as well as what I could find on the support page.

The application seems to want to start. the openoffice, file and edit menus appear and then shut down. Any ideas?

Sigh. Tom, if you had replied to the whole list like i asked you to, and not me personally, you would have had more people reading your message [and more chance of a useful response]. Can somebody using 2.3.1 help out? Verizon is giving us DSL outages right now, so i think i'll have to wait to get the new version...
