In the context of thoroughly uninstalling downloaded files, even registry
files, John - and others - might be interested to learn of a tool called
Revo Uninstaller
(http://www.revouninstaller.com/). I have found it very useful for cleaning
my Windows setups of stubborn files left untouched by, e g, the Windows
uninstaller....
