You might ask your school to re-evaluate the requirement to use proprietary software simply to format your writing assignments. By doing so, they are also dictating which computer and operating system the student must use.[1] Free templates for APA are available here: http://www.cc.mie-u.ac.jp/~lq20106/eg5000/templates/ Also please have a look at: <http://documentation.openoffice.org/Samples_Templates/User/template_2_x/writer/index.html> Thesis.ott and Thesis_Additions.zip both by Matthias Ansorg An APA template is there as well: APA Research Term Paper[ott] Research Term paper Template that uses the APA Format Guidelines. You, and your school, may also find these helpful: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/ http://apastyle.apa.org/ [1] An OOo (and MAC) user received this response from APA Perrla: <quote> > From: PERRLA Support <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: 2 apr. 2008 15:34 > Subject: Customer Comment - Reply > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Hello T. > > APA PERRLA is very intricate and required a great deal of very specific > programming.
