I can't remember for sure, but I /think/ the digest form of the list 
produced something with that extension, which was only really a text 
file (have you tried saving and opening in wordpad?) Perhaps someone 
else on the list can confirm/deny this??

There's certainly absolutely /nothing/ on this list that requires 
wavelet (de-)coding - that's way off beam!!!

If you're getting the digest, you might like to try getting 
individual mailings, although the volume can be large; alternatively 
you can access the list via gmane's usenet server -- I can't remember 
the openoffice group names offhand, so you'd have to search.
