I started downloading Open Office 2.4 at 2:30 pm and before I went to bed I
checked and it still was only at 63.4 MB. 5 1/2 hours later I woke up to
find out that my internet connection was lost. Isn't there a simpler way to
download Open Office? I have Dial up and My Mom does also, hers worked mine
didn't! Please help! This is frustrating!

Maybe I am reading this wrong but if your mother has downloaded Open
Office OK why don't you get her to give you a copy of the downloaded file.
Another alternative available in Australia ( I am sure it must exist in
other countries) is to check out PC magazines that include a DVD with
lots of free, usually open source programs.
