When did you buy this software? The current version is 2.4. Version
1.1.2 is *very* old and it's likely that it won't be able to open modern
documents. OpenOffice is available **free** from <www.openoffice.org>.
Really about the only reason to *buy* it is that you have a
slow/unreliable/expensive internet connection which precludes the
downloading of a fairly large file. If I were you I would (a) try to get
my money back - assuming the purchase was recent - and (b) download or
purchase (after carefully checking the version number being sold) the
latest version. There is a list of CD vendors on the download page
although we provide no recommendations or guarantees.
