I am finishing a book manuscript. The publisher wants to pages numbered consecutively. That proved no problem for the first three chapters. I inserted a footer, then inserted a field, namely page number, then went to Format>Paragraph>Text Flow and inserted the desired page number for the first page of the chapter.
But Chapter 4 is being difficult. I insert the footer, insert field>page number, but the footer instead of "1" displays "106", or sometimes "24." If I insert the desired page number, save the chapter and reopen it the page number is 106 ( or 24). How can I reolve this?
