M$oft upgrade lock-in at work I suppose. However, the real issue is
not M$oft Excell here. As I see it the issue is that I made no
changes to the OOo saved .XLS file, and Calc opens it with the problem
When opened back by Calc, the D4 reads #MACRO? but the input line
still shows =DAYS(B4;C4), which is what it is supposed to contain.
Why is it necessary to perform ENTER on the input line for the
equasion to behave?
Joe,
Yes I understand that Excel is not the real issue here. My point, which
I obviously stated incorrectly, is that the formula should be DAYS360.
This formula is supported by both Excel and Calc and it does not require
you to press the enter key when you reopen the document. When using the
DAYS360 formula, you have to reverse the two dates. IE: DAYS360(C4;B4)
