Hello Anirban,
Is there any way I can edit an existing PDF using Open Office?
Sadly, not directly. Although OOo can create PDFs it cannot open them
for re-editing. What _is_ possible is to save the document not only as
a PDF but also as a .odt file. That way, you can load in the .odt
file, modify it, save it, then save as PDF as well.
It is coming though. Take a look here:
http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/pdfimport
This extension requires the latest OpenOffice.org 3.0 Beta.

It does import the PDF into Draw; unfortunately it only imports the text
of the PDF and doesn not import the graphics. Example: I just recently
modified a CD label for Ubuntu:
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DIYMarketing?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=ubuntu_CD_804.pdf>
I used pdfedit to change the label to read "Alternate CD - Final" -
worked great. I just tried the pdfimport extension & while it did
indeed import the text fine, it did not import the CD label graphic in
the PDF.
It imported a graphic for me. The graphic was originally a PNG,
exported from OOo to PDF, and then imported back again.
