Didn't say I thought it was perfect, only posted the programs that I used to open it without error. I'll have to reboot to the WinXP drive tomorrow and take a look, but as I mentioned, I had no issues with opening the file with the above, many of which use Ghost View. I opened the file as you suggested in a text editor, and can't seem to find anything unusual. Then again, I have to admit that I wouldn't know the difference between unusual and correct in an eps.
