OK, I am using LaTex too, but also I was using StarOffice 3.0/4.0 under
Windows for Workgroups 3.11, and then since 1999 where I was switching
from one day to another (!!!) to Debian GNU/Linux StarOffice 5.1/5.2.
I know Netscape since version 1.12 going to 1.15, 2.02 through 3.x
including 3.1java in Beta version and imagine, there was nothing I have
missed by NOT using my Excel 5.0, Access 2.0 or Winword 6.0. And in
this time there was NO M$ Infernal Exploder with all its security
problems which are definitivly housemade by M$.
Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening
