Forget about buying OpenOffice on eBay, as OpenOffice is available as a free download from www.openoffice.org. It is indeed free and can be used in business, at home and elsewhere, without restriction. OpenOffice is what is known as open source software and as such supported by the community. It gets a lot of support from Sun, who use it as the base of their commercial StarOffice package. Incidentally, when you download OpenOffice, you are free to install it on as many computers as you wish and also pass it around to others.
