I would not hold my breath...
This is another issue with a loooooong story see:
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=16032
The issue has been split in three parts (here's an excerpt from a post
of last year):
For clarification: This issue has been split into three parts, because
it has become much too broad.
- issue 16032 for selecting optional OT features
=> this will probably have to be split up into UI/GSL/import-export issues
- issue 43029 for better PS-OpenType support (aka. "OTF-Fonts" or
"SFNT-Fonts with CFF glyphs")
- issue 78749 for problems of text that is detected as Latin but needs
unicode combining
- there are hundreds of other potential issues for implementation
details of supporting each and every
feature defined in
http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/opentype/index_tag3.html
and http://
www.microsoft.com/typography/otspec/ttoreg.htm

I haven't checked what the status of these issues are.

Cheers,

Michele
