b) show it on the screen

However the image will display to fill the whole Image box, even if it gets skewed and squashed - it doesn't maintain the aspect ratio.

So if you've lots of records in your database with an image saved in them of all different sizes and aspects it looks crap.
I agree with this. I have considered writing a macro that will change the aspect ratio when a new image is loaded. This is probably worth an RFE...
