Not sure why the OO windows should be larger than your screen.
Several possibilities occur to me:
- Is the window "full screen"? If so you can make it re-sizable by right
clicking in the top "title" bar and selecting Size. You can now re-size the
window by dragging its edges inwards; for example drag its top edge down and
then move the window upwards as described below.
- If the top ("title") bar of the window is visible, right click in it and
select Move. You can now move (drag) the window up so that the buttons at
its bottom become visible.
- if a corner of the OO window is visible you can drag it inwards to make
the whole window smaller
- Right click in the Start Bar and select Cascade Windows. This should make
the OO window small enough to fit in the screen.
- Open some (any) other program - Wordpad for example. Now right click in
the Task Bar and choose Tile Windows Horizontally. This will make all the
currently open windows visible. Each will occupy a horizontal "strip" on the
screen. So if you only have OpenOffice and Wordpad (in our example) open
then each will occupy half the screen. This should make the buttons visible
at the bottom of the OO window.
If none of these helps come back here and we'll have another think.
