Lisi, the «enabled for complex text layout» isn't needed for East Asian
(so-called CJK) languages, but is for languages like Arabic and the Indic
languages. I had hoped that enabling East Asian languages would do the trick
- it works for me on Ubuntu Hardy - but that seems not to be the case for
you. Not being a Kubuntu user, my repertoire of relevant ideas is, I fear,
exhausted - but I do have one suggestion - you might want to consider
mosying over to the Kubuntu fora (http://preview.tinyurl.com/ydfdzc) and
posting your problem there. If they are like the Ubuntu fora, someone
knowledgeable is almost certain to take the bait and help....
