Hello, So my experiment of examining the suitability of OOo for technical and academic writing is continuing.
My next problem is: how do I insert numbered sub-figures in a figure. Assume I am insert a picture file add a caption to it. My frame style of the frame enclosing the picture *and* the caption is called Graphics. Now, I want to include two pictures within that frame. Consequently, those two pictures will have one common caption below them. I am able to import multiple pictures. But I also want to number them within that one frame as (a), (b), etc. I can muck around and perhaps type these number manually, but that is the MS Word way and is really not the solution. I know I can also insert a blank caption for each picture so they are only numbered. But I would like the caption to be just a number ( (a), (b), etc.) which resets in each frame. So, any suggestions on how to go about doing this or if there is already a way to do this in OOo?
