Hello Paul, I run both windows server 2008r2/2012r2 in oVirt 3.4 (qemu/kvm for that matter).
I can only recommend to try the following procedure in dealing with virtio-blk and virtio-scsi: Install Windows on a IDE drive; add a second image virtio-scsi. After the installation finishes install the driver for the unknown controller you find in device management with 'update driver' Shutdown the vm, change the boot disk to virtio-scsi or virtio-blk respectively and remove the second disk if you like. Hope this helps, -- Daniel Helgenberger m box bewegtbild GmbH P: +49/30/2408781-22 F: +49/30/2408781-10 ACKERSTR. 19 D-10115 BERLIN www.m-box.de www.monkeymen.tv > Am 05.05.2014 um 17:29 schrieb "Paul.LKW" <paul....@gmail.com>: > > Hi All: > I just even tryied to use IDE only and the Windows 08 server R2 still could > not find any harddisk, what does this bug exists in version 3.4? does it > suitable for production? which one should I report this bug for ? > > Paul.LKW > > > 於 4/5/2014 21:17, Paul.LKW 提到: >> Hi Joop >> It should be show me the harddisk drive after the driver installed and then >> change back to the installation media disc, but the case is it could not >> load the driver correctly I could not see the harddisk drive so even I >> change back the media disc should be no meaning? >> >> Paul.LKW >> >> 於 2014/5/4 下午8:48,"Joop" <jvdw...@xs4all.nl> 寫道: >>> Paul.LKW wrote: >>>> >>>> Hi All: >>>> I am new to oVirt and just installed oVirt for a try. >>>> Any one could install Win Server 08 R2 with virtio or virtio >>>> SCSI from oVirt 3.4? >>>> I am already changed the driver during the installation with >>>> virtio-win-0.1-74.iso, however I try what ever driver directory for AMD64 >>>> it show the device but when I click to select and then click OK, it always >>>> say "No new device could be found.
