Hi All,
I am getting reports of this issue spreading to more users in our
deployment, I think just two or three more at this stage. There also
seems to be a link with the web interface: the problem seems to manifest
itself after changes are made through the web interface having not used
the web interface for a while.
Hope this provides some more clues as to the possible cause, our only
current fix at the moment is disabling their sogo thunderbird extensions
so they can have access to thunderbird.
Cheers,
Seb

Hi There,
Right, I rebuilt a custom integrator, disabling the
checkExtensionsUpdate call, and this has resulted in working
extensiosn for one of these problem users, so I can confirm this is
the same issue as reported by OP.
Thanks very much,
Seb

I have a possibly similar, if not identical issue. Reported from our
desktop support section...
"A few members of staff have had problems opening Thunderbird. It
will open once, show the windows updating extensions and then close,
but does not reopen automatically or manually."
We have no way of getting thunderbird to open again without removing
the calendaring extensions manually from their profile directory.
This is with thunderbird 2.0.14 and integrator et al 0.101pre2.
Any ideas?
Have you also tried for those users to disable
checkExtensionsUpdate() ? You could try so, rezip the XPI and send
them directly for testing purposes. It'll give us more beef one what
could be the issue.
