I don't think I've ever had to ask a question on SO because there's nearly always someone else who has already asked my question and it's easy to search. So my tendency is to let Google fish in SO (and the rest of the world) for my question, rummage a bit, and then try to find an ML for the product in question if my need is unusual. I'd probably ask on SO if I couldn't find an ML or the ML proved unhelpful. Neither of which is true of this list.
