Most things can be made to work - "with sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine". This approach was used for early Shibboleth implementations in a couple of Java LMSs, for example. Then a native Java Shibboleth implementation was developed, and life got easier. Are you already using Apache httpd in front of Tomcat for other purposes? Or would this be new? - Peter
