I believe wicket 7 and 8 are fully feature compatible, my migration
from 7 to 8 was flawless :)
WICKET-6105 introducing API break (wicket-datetime module is dropped),
wicket-datetime in its current state is available at wicketstuff

Our project is opensource :) openmeetings.apache.org :)))
