Every performance-critical XWiki instance should run behind a better web server, like httpd. This is the case for the xwiki.org and xwiki.com sites. For Oracle, there are a few issues which are solved in 1.2RC3, and it is not a database really tested by the developers. However, users reported successful installations on Oracle 10g.
