Even if Buchanan is an isolationist, he would be a hypocrite if he was
anti-metric and pro-FFU. FFU is an imported unit hodge-podge. No American
invented it. If you are against metric because of its foreign origins, then
you have to be against FFU as well. But then if he was president, he
wouldn't care about such a technicality.

This is from the foxnews.com forum.

Bill Carp: I am a registered Repulican in Palm Beach County. When the
registration cards were sent out, I did not receive a sample ballot. Yet, I
know many registered Democrats got one of these booklets. Hmm. And, to top
it off, I managed to understand the butterfly ballot, cast my vote and was
not confused. Something friggin' stinks in this damn county!

Dan Bishop: But how do you know that you really voted for Bush? Maybe you
actually voted for Buchanan and just THOUGHT you had voted for
 Bush. Why is
 confusion reserved for democrats? <g>

Bill Carp: Heh heh, that ballot was not hard. Hell, fourth graders all over
America have picked their candidate 100% of the time. Palm Beach
 County Dems
must have stopped at grade three. ;)

I haven't been able to find Buchanan's opinion on metrication. However,
since he does favor isolationism, I would assume he'd be anti-metric.
