John and all, I have gone to their website and had a go at their use of 'farenheit' and probably other ifp trash! I think that their formula to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit is: (2 *C) - 2, in this case (2*18) - 2 = 34, forgetting to add 32, which at least would have come close. I have also told them something about English as a global language and measuring units. They could just as well join the BWMA as they are supporting the cause of global Imperial and USC usage. Maybe THEY are artificially dead too! Anyway, they deserve to receive the Inch Perfect Award. I am one of the latter category. Another point is that you are supporting this rotten cause of medieval measuring units by linking them to the global language, English. If English has to have this status, then in turn the metric system should be the global language of measurement and the British and the Americans should at least accept metric units in news items from metric countries. Why should we be the only ones bearing such burdens: besides the years of learning English, also learning British Imperial and American units? No way, as far as the measurements are concerned! By the way, all other English speaking countries have already adopted the metric system. Their citizens don't need information in this trash either. In fact the metric system or International System of Units IS the global language of measurement. Please stop using Anglo-Saxon units altogether. They are not, *repeat not*, an international standard. We are Europeans, we have been metric for generations, and we should not support these remnants of a bygone age. When I was at school, my English teacher, who was also my friend, once used the wrong measurements. I was shocked but I succeeded in convincing her to stop doing this.
