Good suggestion Pat People like to say half of 1 %, quarter of 1 %, etc and that is why they cut by 50 or 25 points.
If Federal Reserve increases / decreases interest rate by 20 or 30 points, then these guys cannot use the quarter and 1/8 concept. I hope European Central Bank will do atleast once, given the decimal nature of Euro.
