It does convey a sense of belongingness to SI. The purpose of using
SI gets defeated unless Feet, Yards & Mile get removed from the SI
brochure. Discarding the non-metric units is the ONLY solution. It
does call for a review of the whole SI listing!

NIST HB 55 is not what I mean when I refer to the Metric Bible. I use that term to refer to "The International System of Units" published by the Bureau international des poids et mesures, Pavillon de Breteuil, F-92312 S�vres Cedex, France. I consider NIST HB 44 as authorative only within the U.S.A. There is still considerable use of miles, yards, feet, and inches in that country. -- Joseph B.
