Yes, in part.

Even without the notion of coherence, "unit", "uno", "einheit" etc. mean
"one" *singular*; *not* more than one (plural).

Logically, an SI Unit, and its many multiples by SI prefixes can not all
be *one*, and also more than one, all at the same time.
That would be a contradiction of terms.
