I don't think the purpose of this forum is so restricted. It is for pro-SI metric people to exchange information, views, ideas, etc. Organizing pro-metric "campaigns" is certainly part of that. We have a variety of view points as to what are the best means to do that. I find the exchange of news and ideas to be is worthwhile as the overt promotion of metric adoption in the US.


We usually try to avoid getting too far off topic but otherwise everyone is free to bring up any subject they wish if it is related to the SI metric system. There is a reluctance to accept proposals for makomg drastic changes in that internationally adopted system, however.
