Was watching the Military History channel tonight and caught a show done in the UK about the history of using stones and spears as weapons.
The phrase that caught my attention was uttered by one of the armourists who described the experience of a mediaeval knight thus: "Carrying a 10 foot lance while wearing 6 or 7 stones of armour whilst peering through a 6 millimetre slit must have been quite exciting!"
