I get the same problem with Pat's messages with my Outlook 2003. I use Latin 9 (ISO-8859-15). The main benefit to me is the replacement of a rarely used ISO-8859-1 character with the euro symbol. I can see the euro symbol as: � http://je.org/latin9/email.html http://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/latin9.html
