Hello there was a posting on this site last night from a person who went in to their local walmart and bought some canning jars. They said that the box of jars said 1 pint or 500 ml. In the States a pint is 473 ml. is this company breaking the law by calling 500 ml a pint. What would happen if lets say a butcher sold a lb of meat and on the package put 500 g after the lb marking on the package. Would he or she be breaking the law? It would be interesting to know how long these jars of 1 pint or 500 ml have been for sale in the States.
