Thanksgiving is also a fine time to be thankful for ways of
measuring; and, if one can (and so chooses), for ways of using metric
units for measuring.
The practicable use of metric measures and units in recipes are
probably an important mode of metrication. I have a hunch that, in
general, that metric unit measures are easier to proportionally
adjust or to adapt.
The Canadian Thanksgiving is observed a week earlier than the US
Thanksgiving. Is that because of the northern harvesting season
occurring earlier?
Best,
Ron
