In the absence of 'polls' available to users of this listserv - can I ask if
anyone is getting any value out of this 'discussion'?
I've tried (twice) to close it in the belief that it's at best clutter and
at worst a slanging match I didn't ask for. It's also caused off-list
private emails to get publicly posted - which I believe to be wrong
practice.
Unless I'm wrong and people are getting some form of interest or
entertainment from this 'discussion' can we finally close it now?

Stephen Humphrey's, for reasons best known to himself, has decided to
respond to my question privately rather than on the board.
It seems a response on the message board is good enough for everyone else
but, apparently, not for Steve.
Fair enough, I suppose...there's no law against it.
If he isn't brave enough to hold his opinions up to scrutiny on the message
board like everyone else, that's his business.
